Bridgeport Field of Dreams Foundation Board Chairman Neil Kavey was selected as the recipient of the state of Connecticut’s 2021 Distinguished Friend of Education Award by the Connecticut Association of Schools. Kavey, also a co-founder of the Field of Dreams, was presented with the award at a recent ceremony by Bassick Assistant Principal Chris Johnson who nominated him for the honor. Both are former Citywide Athletic Directors for the Bridgeport Public Schools.
